Deluxe Lasagna

Deluxe Lasagna
  • Ingredients

    • 1 jar of Rao’s Four Cheese Tomato Sauce
    • 9 regular lasagna noodles
    • 2 cups tightly packed baby spinach  
    • 2 cups (400 g) grated mozzarella cheese

    Garniture 

    • ¼ cup finely sliced white onion
    • ½ cup green bell pepper, cut into strips
    • 4 sliced white mushrooms
    • ½ cup (75 g) sliced pepperoni
    • 4 slices cooked bacon, chopped into large pieces
  • Directions

    1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C).
    2. Cook the lasagna noodles according to the manufacturer's instructions. 
    3. Drain the pasta, then quickly cool it under cold water to stop the cooking process.
    4. Spread 3 tablespoons of Rao's sauce on the bottom of a baking dish measuring approximately 30 cm × 23 cm (12“ × 9”). 
    5. Assemble the lasagna. Place 3 lasagna noodles in the bottom of the dish. Add ¾ cup of Rao's sauce, a handful of spinach, and ½ cup of grated cheese. Repeat this step twice to make three layers. Finish by sprinkling the rest of the cheese on top. Add the Deluxe toppings in this order: pepperoni, mushrooms, peppers, onions, and bacon.
    6. Bake for 40 to 45 minutes.
    7. Finish cooking by placing the lasagna under the broiler for about 3 minutes to brown the top.
    8. Let the lasagna rest for 10 minutes before serving.

Tips and tricks

Can also be prepared in large muffin tins to make individual portions, perfect for events and shared meals.
